Multiple Police Agencies in Louisiana Escort Fallen Officer’s Body to New Orleans

What a sad for law enforcement personnel in Louisiana.

Several police agencies from across the state showed their respect to fallen Ville Platte Deputy Marshal Barry Giglio on Thursday morning.

Police units from across the state escorted the body of Barry Giglio to New Orleans where his family will make final arrangements.

Deputy Marshal Barry Giglio was shot and killed this week in Ville Platte while attempting to execute a warrant in Evangeline Parish.

Along the procession fire departments hoisted American flags as the body of the fallen officer rode past them.

Eunice City Marshal Terry Darbone tells me that this tragedy has hit close to home and that all of the agencies are coming together to support Giglio's family and colleagues in Ville Platte.
