A watch owned by Elvis Presley has sold at auction for a cool $1,812,500. The watch was given to Elvis by RCA Records in 1960 to commemorate his selling 75 million records, and is the highest price ever paid for an Omega watch.

The watch is 18K white gold, and is engraved 'To Elvis, 75 Million Records, RCA Victor, 12-25-60.' It contains 44 round brilliant diamonds and no numbers on the dial, only markers. Rumor has it that Elvis traded the watch to a man who stopped him in a restaurant and admired the timepiece on the singer's arm. The man's nephew consigned the watch to auction at the Geneva Watch Auction. And NPR clearly thought it would go for a lot less in their Facebook post below.

The King is still The King.
