Electric Powered Taxis Come To Lafayette

There's a new way to go green and save green when you need a ride in Lafayette.

There's a new way to get around Lafayette and the Acadiana area that's easy on the environment and your wallet: Power Electric Taxi. The company started in New Iberia and is the only taxi service in the area using cars running entirely on battery power.

Power Electric Taxi rides are $10, with a $1 charge for each additional passenger in a party. Fees increase the further out a destination is from Lafayette, where Power Electric Taxi is located.
