Eddie Van Halen Being Treated For Throat Cancer
Eddie Van Halen was diagnosed with tongue cancer in 2000. As a result, 1/3 of his tongue was surgically removed. Eddie was declared cancer-free in 2002.
He blames the cancer on a metal guitar pick that he used to hold in his mouth while on stage. Eddie is now reportedly undergoing treatments for throat cancer.
TMZ reports, he’s been flying to Germany for radiation and other treatments. Van Halen was inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
