(KTDY) - A photo shared on social media of a school resource and a student from a junior high school has caught the eye of many on social media.

School resource officer David Brunet, stationed on the campus at Folsom Junior High in St. Tammany Parish, was seen assisting a young man after his mother dropped him off for school. Now, many are applauding what this deputy did for the young athlete.

According to the social media post shared by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, the student's mother asked Deputy Brunet if he could assist her son with his tie, and the deputy did so without any hesitation.

In the photo below, you see the deputy assisting the young man, and it's this photo that captured the hearts of so many on social media.

When asked why he assisted the kid, Deputy Brunet said, "

I’m here to keep these kids safe, and I want them to know they can always come to me for anything.” Here's the photo of the school resource officer doing more than protecting the campus he's assigned to in south Louisiana.

We love seeing moments like this on social media. Job well done, Deputy Brunet.

Now, we must be honest with you here: we're not the best at tying a tie, so at times we have to resort to some assistance too.

Did Anyone Watch These TV Shows in the 1980s and 1990s?

These were the shows that weren’t exactly “must-see TV,” more like “might-see TV” — part of the culture, but you had to wonder: who was actually watching?
