Crane Crash Wreckage Causes Traffic Standstill Along I-10 At Louisiana/Texas State Line Near Vidor
Reports say that a crash on I-10 Eastbound near the Louisiana/Texas state line has left traffic at a standstill. Video shows the Vidor area crash with a crane turned over onto its side completely blocking traffic headed East from Texas into Louisiana.
The crash occurred just around lunchtime near Vidor, TX in the area of the Louisiana and Texas state line. Crews have been working to clear the area as traffic sits at a standstill.
Reports add that Louisiana State Police are diverting all I-10 Eastbound traffic to the Deweyville exit, LA 12, in Vidor until further notice.
Motorists that are headed from Texas into Louisiana today are advised to take an alternate route. Video evidence appears to show that Westbound traffic has also slowed significantly near the crash-site.
There is currently no estimate of how long it will take for the wreckage to be removed from the interstate.
