I've met a few rock stars over the years. Some seem like they're just going through the motions. Not Carlos Santana! I found him to be classy & gracious. When I heard about this, I HAD to share it.

This is like something from one of those holiday specials you see on TV. The thing is, it really happened! Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer Carlos Santana was recently reunited with a homeless former band mate whom he hadn't seen in more than 40 years.
Marcus "The Magnificent" Malone was a percussionist in the original Santana Blues Band. He was convicted of manslaughter, and imprisoned at Sen Quentin 1969. Santana appeared at Woodstock that summer, and their performance catapulted them to stardom.
After serving his sentence, Malone found it difficult to find and keep a job. He became homeless. A reporter from a San Francisco TV station encountered Malone while working on an unrelated story about illegal dumping.  Malone told Stanley Roberts his story & Roberts checked it out.
Carlos Santana saw the story , and tried unsuccessfully to find Malone. Roberts found him, and arranged a reunion. Plans are now in the works for Santana & Malone to record together.
