Winter is not over yet in Acadiana, another cold spell in on the way later this week in fact. The Cajun Area Agency On Aging sure could use your help keeping the elderly warm this winter.

The Cajun Area Agency On Aging is very dear to all of us at KTDY. Every year they help distribute 'Shoeboxes for Seniors'. The agency is a non-profit corporation that, "exists to identify the needs of persons 60 and older". And they need our help.

The temperature is all over the road right now in Acadiana and even though some days may be almost 80 degrees, that can change at the drop of a hat. And someone always has a hat.

At this time, the Cajun Area Agency On Aging is in need of small space heaters for those in need. One of the beauties about this wonderful organization is that they deliver necessities to the elder in eight Acadiana parishes. So they'll make sure these heaters get to those who need them. Lynda Southard and her team can even make arrangements to pick up donated heaters. And if by chance they receive an abundance of heaters, remember, they can always be used next year.

There is no need for anyone to be cold this winter. Please donate small space heaters to the Cajun Area Agency on Aging located at 110 Toledo Dr. Lafayette, La. For more information please call or email Lynda Southard.
