Safari of Lights: November 24 - 25, December 1 - 3, 8-30 – Safari of Lights. Zoo of Acadiana, Broussard. 5-9 p.m. 3 years old and above $7. Animated and still Christmas lights and animal displays, Christmas music, hot chocolate, and a North Pole Express train ride!
Noël en Broussard, November 29. City Hall, Broussard. Join the city of Broussard as it kicks off the holiday season with the lighting of a 25-foot Christmas tree. Reception and tree lighting begin at 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Christmas in Scott, November 30. St. Aubin Park, Scott. 5 – 8 p.m. Farmer’s Market will open for shopping, the Scott Christmas tree will be lit, and Santa will be on hand for photo ops!
Noël Acadien Au Village, December 1 - 23. Acadian Village, Lafayette. 5:30-9 p.m. $10 at the gate; $8 in advance. Half a million lights, displays, food, entertainment, and holiday shopping, all to raise funds for LARC.
Christmas at the Alexandre Mouton House, December 1 - 31. 1122 Lafayette St., Lafayette. Tues.-Sat. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $5 Adults, $3 Seniors, $2 Students. The Alexandre Mouton House will showcase period Christmas decorations.
Festival of Light, December 1. Oil Center, Lafayette. 5-9 p.m. Celebrate as the switch is pulled to light the colossal Santa, sleigh and reindeer over Coolidge Blvd! Music, food, fun, and shopping! Children of all ages are invited...Santa will pay a visit for photos along with a Living Nativity and an outdoor snow yard.
Sonic Drive-In Veteran's & Christmas Parade, December 3. The Sonic Drive - In Christmas Parade rolls from Downtown to the Oil Center, and starts at 1 p.m. Free. The parade features over 20 floats, high school marching bands and Santa's official arrival to Lafayette!
Living Bethlehem, December 8 - 10. Sugar Mill Pond Town Center, 120 Waterview Rd., Youngsville. 7-8 p.m. A live Nativity drama, The Living Bethlehem is held outdoors at Sugar Mill Pond and showcases a cast of children, live animals and a children’s choir.
The Nutcracker, December 9 - 10. Heymann Performing Arts Center, Lafayette. Lafayette Ballet Theatre with Principal guest artists from the Pacific Northwest Ballet and the entire dance community present the Holiday classic, The Nutcracker, a full-length classical ballet in two acts. City of Broussard Christmas Parade, December 10. The parade starts at the intersection of S. Morgan down Albertsons Pkwy at 1 p.m.
Lessons & Carols, December 10. St. John Cathedral, 914 St. John Street, Lafayette. 7:30 p.m. Lessons & Carols is a traditional candlelight service of readings and choral music for the Christmas season in the beautiful ambiance of St. John Cathedral.
Old-Time Christmas at Vermilionville, December 12 - 23. 300 Fisher Rd., Lafayette. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. (Family Day-Dec. 17) Regular admission $10 adults, $8 seniors, $6 students and children 6 & under enter free. Group rates available.
