Blue Angels To Perform Over Biloxi This Weekend
Louisiana travelers heading east toward the beaches of Lower Alabama and Florida could get a bit of a bonus added to their vacation getaway this weekend. If you happen to time your travels just right you could be treated to the sights and sounds of the United States Navy's Blue Angels doing what they do Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
The Blues Over Biloxi airshow will officially be based on the Great Lawn at Harrah's Gulf Coast Casino. The property is located on U.S. Highway 90 near the bridge that links the cities of Biloxi and Ocean Springs.
The show begins at 1 PM both Saturday and Sunday and should conclude at about 4 PM. My guess is the Blue Angels will close the show because what act would want to follow their amazing demonstration of power, passion, patriotism, and high performance flying right?
Since the bulk of the in air demonstrations will take place above the Mississippi Sound there will be plenty of places to pull over and watch for free. Event organizers anticipate a crowd of 100,000 people or more for each performance. So, even if you don't want to look up, you'll want to look out for increased traffic on I-10 as you make your way toward the beach.
