Blue Angels Aircraft Sustains Damage After Bird Strike
If you have ever had the thrill of watching the United States Air Force Thunderbirds or the United States Navy Blue Angels perform then you know what it means to have goosebumps on your goosebumps. These skilled pilots and their multi-million dollar aircraft are certainly the show (off) pieces of America's aviation dominance.
Saturday once of these multi-million dollar aircraft sustained over a million dollars in damage because of a rather common creature. A bird. That's right a bird flew into one of the Navy's Blue Angel F-18 aircraft during a performance in Florida.
The skilled pilot took appropriate actions and landed the aircraft without incident. The incident came after when it was discovered that the bird did almost $1 million in damage to technologically advanced aircraft.
The amount of damage done to the bird. Well, let's just say his goose was beyond cooked. The Blue Angels Flight team will continue their performance schedule despite this setback. If you get the chance to see them, be careful your patriotism will be soaring higher than these amazing pilots and their incredible machines
