Audubon Zoo Reopens Jaguar Exhibit
Almost 7 months after Valerio escaped his exhibit, the big cat is back on display at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans.
According to KATC, Valerio's enclosure has been under construction after the 160-pound jaguar chewed through a fence of the exhibit on July 15, 2018. Five alpacas, an emu and three foxes died from injuries during the early morning escape.
Zoo officials have said that Valerio's new exhibit exceeds current industry standards.
