April 22nd Is Earth Day, Would You Spend $60 On A Light Bulb? [VIDEO]
April 22nd is Earth Day, so would you spend $60 on a light bulb to help save it? According to the folks at Phillips, makers of the new EnduraLED 10W A19 Dimmable Bulb, if every 60-watt incandescent in the U. S. was replaced with their new bulb, the nation would save $3.9 billion in energy costs in one year.
So what's so special about a $60 bulb? For starters, the lifespan of the award winning Phillips EnduraLED bulb is an estimated 30,000 hours and it's just as bright as your current old fashion 60-watt bulb but only uses 10-watts. It will also last you 20 years! That's right, if you left it on 4 hours per day, it would last 20 years! This new generation of LED bulbs is due to hit store shelves this weekend. So would you buy one?
