Today is the 44th anniversary of Earth Day 2014.  As an adult, you probably already know ways to treat the Earth with respect, but what about your children?

Join the Bayou Vermilion District as they celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 13 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Vermilionville.

April 22nd is Earth Day, so would you spend $60 on a light bulb to help save it?  According to the folks at Phillips, makers of the new EnduraLED 10W A19 Dimmable Bulb, if every 60-watt incandescent in the U. S. was replaced with their new bulb, the nation would save $3.9 billion in energy costs in one year.

Although Earth Day is officially on April 22, 2012, Lafayette will begin the celebration early! On April 15 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., at Vermilionville, the Bayou Vermilion District celebrates Earth Day to help inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment.
