A federal judge has ruled that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady must serve a four game suspension that was previously overturned by a lower court. KATC reports, the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the suspension. The NFL imposed the penalty after balls used in the January 2015 AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts were found to be underinflated. The NFL has specific rules governing the acceptable range of pressures to which game balls are to be inflated. The 'Deflate Gate' scandal sparked controversy nationwide. Head coach Bill Belichik disavowed any knowledge of the situation. Brady downplayed it, contending a couple psi discrepancy wasn't a factor in the 45-7 blowout. New Orleans Saints fans were up in arms when the suspension was overturned. Former Cowboys great Troy Aikman was vocal about his belief the suspension was appropriate.
