Anyone Know The Story Behind This House At Lake Martin?

I went to Lake Martin today with some family members and we drove by the old house in the pictures.  Signs were clearly posted, "Private Property" and "This facility under 24-hour we're watchin' you" or something like that.

Which prompted me to get a few pictures of the house and post them here.  Does anyone know the story behind the house?  It doesn't look to be of typical "Acadian-Style" homes that are known to be in the area.  What gives?
