(KTDY) - Summer is rapidly approaching, and many of us are planning our next beach trip. However, if you hate sand everywhere, we think you'll love this simple beach hack.

Sure, the beach can be relaxing and a great place to cool off during the summer, but if there's one thing most people despise, it's the sand. And yes, sand on the beach isn't going anywhere, so we all have to learn to deal with it.

Personally, I can't stand it when you return to the condo or house and track sand in with you. Well, I recently came across a viral video on social media that showed how to get sand out of your feet once you decide to leave the beach.

Sure, you can rinse your feet in the water, but that doesn't always work best, as once you exit the water, you're right back in the sand. With this latest beach hack, all that you need is a plastic grocery bag and your footwear.

As you will see below, the person uses the bag to scoop water into it, and, with their flip-flops on, leaves the beach and steps into the bag filled with water to rinse their feet, which leaves their feet cleaner upon returning to their place.

This can work for kids and adults this summer, so if you are going to the beach this year, pack your sunscreen, hats, and plastic grocery bags. I know I will try this, and now I hope I don't stumble when stepping into or out of the bag.

Check out this video. If you already knew about this, why didn't you inform us of this genius hack? We love this.
