I'm a fan of history. There's something that gives us a greater sense of who we are. It seems that way to me, anyway. It's interesting to see how customs, fashion and technology have evolved over the years. I'm pretty sure this video wasn't shot using an iphone. You can hear the movie camera whirring away in the background. I especially like the shot of passengers boarding a streetcar in front of the Strand theater. New Orleans was home to America's first permanent, commercial movie theaters. I hope you enjoy this look back at life in New Orleans during the "Roaring Twenties."
