
4 Months After the Attack on our Capitol, FBI Still Asking for Help
It has been over 4 months since the attack on our nation's Capitol, and the FBI is still asking for help identifying some of the individuals who took part in it.
The 4 individuals pictured above (and hundreds more) are wanted on suspicion of various criminal acts, including attacking law enforcement officers.
The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying individuals who made unlawful entry into the U.S. Capitol building and committed various other alleged criminal violations, such as destruction of property, assaulting law enforcement personnel, targeting members of the media for assault, and other unlawful conduct, on January 6, 2021, in Washington, D.C. - Federal Bureau ofInvestigation
HAS ANYONE BEEN ARRESTED LOCALLY?
So far, only 2 individuals from Louisiana have been arrested and charged for their part in the attack: Cody Page Carter Connell, and Vaughn Gordon.
SHREVEPORT
According to Conan Daily, Cody Page Carter Connell is a native of Vivian, Louisiana, and was 27 years old and residing in Shreveport at the time of his arrest. An oilfield worker, Connell posted a video of himself from the January 6th attack at the Capitol on social media.
On January 7, the FBI received a tip that Connell had participated in the attack, and had plans to return to the Capitol armed with long gun(s). He was arrested in Louisiana on the following charges: Civil Disorder; Obstruction of an Official Proceeding; Assaulting, Resisting or Impeding Certain Officers; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building; Impeding Passage Through the Capitol Grounds or Buildings; Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building.
LAFAYETTE
The other arrest in Louisiana related to the attack is Vaughn Gordon. A resident of Lafayette, he was 54 years old at the time of the attack on the Capitol, according to Conan Daily.
Gordon is not charged with any violence against individuals, but is charged with the following: Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building; Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building; Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building; Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building
Gordon has been released from jail "on conditions".
THE "WANTED" LIST
The FBI has a section on its website dedicated to the attack on the Capitol that lists the persons arrested and the individuals still being sought in connection with that attack. They are hoping you can help them identify over 200 suspects still at large through photos and videos posted on the website.
So far, according to the FBI, over 400 individuals have been arrested and charged for their involvement with the attack.
