2014 American Cancer Society’s Black And White Gala [PHOTOS]

The 2014 Black and White Gala, raising funds for the American Cancer Society, was held Saturday night in Broussard.

Every year, the American Cancer Society presents the Spirit of Hope Awards. Community members nominate deserving individuals who continuously serve the mission of the American Cancer Society.  This year's nominees were:

• Faith Borel
• Robyn Barton
• Jennifer Melancon
• Dr. Tyshaun M. James-Hart

Jennifer Melancon was awarded with this year's Spirit of Hope Award!

Honorary Chairpersons this year were Marcelle Fontenot of KATC TV3 and Dr. David Allie from Louisiana Cardiovascular & Limb Salvage Center.

All monies raised from the event go to the American Cancer Society in Acadiana.
