2014 Acadia Parish Household Hazardous Waste Day

Acadia Parish residents will be able to safely dispose of their household hazardous waste products on Saturday, October 4th from 8 AM to 12 PM. The event will be held at the Rice Arena on 159 Cherokee Drive in Crowley.

Check the list of acceptable and unacceptable items below. A picture I.D. will be required showing address of Acadia Parish residency.

Acceptable Items:

Automotive Products - Used oil, oil filters, antifreeze, fuel, car batteries, tires (without rims)
Paint - Paint thinners and solvents, spray cans, brush, cleaners, paint, paint strippers, lacquers,
wood sealers, turpentine
Gardening Products - Insect killer (pesticides/fertilizers), weed killers, unclean, sprayers and
spreaders
Cleaning Products - Drain cleaners, degreasers and oven cleaners, bleach and ammonia, cleaning
solvents and spot removers, cleaner concentrates (liquid/powder)
Pool Chemicals - acids, chlorine
Glues & Solvents
Thermometers - Mercury items
Fluorescent Bulbs, Compact Bulbs
