Today marks the launch of the College Colors Challenge and UL Lafayette is encouraging Ragin’ Cajuns fans to participate.

According to UL Lafayette social media strategist Amy Windsor, the College Colors Challenge is 'a national social media contest that raises our previous Wear Red contest to a new level.'

'By submitting a photo or video on social media, Ragin’ Cajuns fans can flaunt their red and white school spirit from anywhere.'

Participants also have the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship game in Glendale, Ariz. Included is round-trip airfare for two, a three-night hotel stay, a $500 gift card, and two tickets with ground transportation to the game.

Ragin’ Cajuns fans can download the College Colors app (App Store or Google Play) and visit CollegeColorsChallenge.com for details.

Fans should submit photos or videos using the #CollegeColors hash-tag, along with #SQUADPIC (large group), #FAMPHOTO (family), or #SELFIE (individual).

Fans are encouraged to get creative and are allowed to post anything from trick - shot videos to awkward family photos all while wearing red. Schools and businesses can use the #SQUADPIC category to participate.

Top #GeauxCajuns entries will be featured on the scoreboard during the first home football game on Sept. 12.

Winners for the first round of College Colors challenges will be announced on the official website on College Colors Day, Sept. 4.
