'Time' magazine asked professional photographers how to take great pictures of fireworks.  Here are 4 tips to perfect firework pictures.

1.  Turn your flash off.  Your flash won't reach the fireworks but it doesn't matter anyway, the fireworks are already bright.

2.  Don't just photograph the sky.  Taking pictures of just the fireworks won't make for exciting pics.  Try to get some buildings in the picture.  This will make your pics pop.

3.  Turn off the HDR feature.  HDR stands for 'high dynamic range'.  Many cell phones have this feature no.  Turn it off when taking pictures of something moving otherwise your subject will be blurry.

4.  Take photos with a long exposure.  This lets in more light.  And fireworks are light.
