Thieves Broke Into A Car To Steal Sunglasses And Left Winning Lottery Ticket
Thieves broke into a car in Seattle, they stole sunglasses and left behind a lottery ticket with the winning numbers.
A couple had their car broken into and the only item the robbers took was a pair of sunglasses that were sitting on top of an old lottery ticket. They couple found the old Powerball ticket when they went through the car to see if anything else had been stolen. They had bought the ticket back in February when the jackpot was $500 million. And back in February, they had checked the numbers and they had NOT won. The couple just hadn't thrown the losing ticket away. It just stayed as part of the clutter in their car.
But in a twist of fate, no one won the Powerball drawing back in February. The couple had no idea the money had not been won. The Lottery held a second-chance drawing...that's when their numbers hit!
The couple would have never thought about that Powerball ticket had it not been for the robbery. They didn't even know about the second-chance drawing until after the break-in.
