Eleven year old Harper Gruzins really can sing the National Anthem. Harper, from Texas, gave a really horrible performance of the Star-Spangled Banner before a Major League Soccer match Saturday night as heard on the KTDY Morning Show Tuesday.

During a 9/11 tribute at the US Open on Sunday, 58-year-old pop icon Cyndi Lauper suffered a similar fate, flubbing the line that’s supposed go “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming” by instead singing “O’er the ramparts we watched, as our flag was still streaming.”
With all the flub-bub surrounding Christina-gate, I thought that this performance of our National Anthem would be a great way to forget about the controversy.
