Debris pick-up relating to the flood event of March 12, 2012 will begin on Friday, March 30, 2012. The Contractor, DRC Emergency Services, LLC., will begin the storm debris pick-up in the City of Carencro and fan out into the unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish.

With some areas still cleaning up from last week's rain and flooding, we are expecting more water in the next couple of days again. Local governments have made sandbags available in Lafayette, New Iberia and the surrounding areas.
Ranch Outlet and Courtesy Ford Lincoln are teaming up to aid in the disaster relief for victims of the recent flooding in Carencro and the surrounding areas. The community is encouraged to bring donations to Ranch Outlet off of I49 at Gloria Switch or Courtesy Ford Lincoln in Breaux Bridge, the official drop off locations for the Disaster Relief Supply Drive.

Due to the changes in the flood forecast and the slow approach of water, St. Landry Parish President, Don Menard, has lifted the mandatory evacuation order for residents in areas South of Hwy 190, the Three Mile Lake area and the North Wilderness Road area. These areas will remain under voluntary evacuation until further notice.
