Sunday evening, someone posted a photo of a Taco Bell employee licking a giant stack of taco shells that most people believe were served to customers, even though Taco Bell disagrees.

Yesterday, Taco Bell responded, saying they believe it was a prank and the shells weren't served to customers . . . but they'll take, quote, "swift action" against the people involved.

The person who posted it, says the picture was taken inside a Taco Bell restaurant in Ridgecrest, California.  This may indeed have happened at a Taco Bell restaurant in California, but could happen at any restaurant anywhere, including Lafayette, La.

Comments on Facebook include, "I will never eat at taco Bell again."  People are outraged.

Yesterday, Taco Bell responded to the photo on Facebook, "We have strict food handling procedures and zero tolerance for any violations."
