The Lafayette Public Library will be holding its annual Summer Reading Kickoff on Friday, May 29th at the South Regional Library.

The program is open to the whole family, which means children, teens and adults can all win prizes for reading this summer as well as enjoy a full lineup of free entertaining and educational activities. Kickoff performances include Johnette Downing’s “Reading Rocks” singing and storytelling, along with Magician Mitch Richard. Crafts, face painting, Zoo-Zoom’s unique petting zoo, a fun jump, a walk through a colorful children’s book and more will also be available!

Food trucks will sell a variety of lunch options. This free event is open to the public and takes place at the South Regional Library located at 6101 Johnston Street, between 10 AM - 3 PM.
