Start everyday happy by writing a “happy list!"  You'll be more happy, content, and less stressed...Really!

The survey asked people to rate their stress levels, then write a short essay before trying to solve a task.  Most people wrote about subjects that struck a cord with them personally like music, family or friends.  A few of the respondents wrote about things that were not so personal.

Writing a self-affirming essay made even the most stressed-out people perform better on the problem-solving test. The research found that getting in a positive mindset can help reduce stress and encourage creativity.
