Seventeen puppies got a new lease on life, courtesy of two volunteer groups.  Pilots N Paws and Home for Good Dog Rescue collaborated on the project, picking the dogs up at a kill shelter in South Carolina and flying them to New Jersey.

Pilots N Paws picked up the dogs in South Carolina and flew them to Virginia.  Another pilot loaded them onto another plane for a second flight to New Jersey.
Pilots N Paws specializes in transporting rescue dogs.Their first flight brought in four dogs. The second one brought the 17 puppies. They're mostly lab and shepherd mixes. Group members hope to continue making these flights in the future.

“We’re thrilled to see these dogs come up. We know the conditions they were living in and seeing how much they’ve improved is exciting,”  - Rob Cicirelli, Home For Good Dog Rescue

Cicirelli said states like South Carolina don’t spay or neuter their dogs, and before you know it, you have abandoned puppies.

The next adoption event is slated for PetSmart in Millburn on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23rd & 24th. This is PetSmart’s national adoption weekend.
