Sam Smith To Have Throat Surgery, Cancels Tour Dates

Sam Smith cleaned up at the Grammys earlier this year. A grueling performance & tour schedule has apparently left the singing star's vocal cords in bad shape. Rolling Stone reports he experienced a hemorrhage while performing in Australia on April 28th. Smith posted on his Facebook page, he'll require surgery to correct the problem. He has cancelled all May and June performances, citing the need for recovery time. The singer hopes to resume touring in early July.
