Later this month, on October 21, 2015, We'll celebrate the day that Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel to in the future in Back to the Future II, with our "Back to the Future Experience."  2015 also marks the 30th anniversary of the original Back to the Future film opening in theaters. As you might expect, Back to the Future fever has hit a fever pitch and there will be lots of ways fans can commemorate the occasion, including buying yourself a “Pepsi Perfect” in a limited edition futuristic bottle, just like the one Marty buys in the future.

Considering that the future is now and Pepsi Perfect isn’t an actual thing (and to our knowledge doesn’t shoot out of pneumatic tubes), Pepsi will be releasing their traditional Pepsi flavor in the collectible bottle, designed after the one used in Back to the Future II (though it will not be “vitamin-enriched” nor will it come included with a straw like the Pepsi Perfect in the movie). The company will only be making 6,500 bottles of the special Pepsi bottle, which apparently fans have always been a little crazy about.

Fans have always been a little crazy about it and so we wanted to take advantage of the fact that Marty travelled to the future, to this month, and wanted to actually come out with the product.

So says Lou Arbetter, PepsiCo’s senior director of marketing. Fans might have to be a little crazy for Pepsi Perfect because to buy the 16.9-ounce bottle (which, we’ll remind you, is filled with ordinary Pepsi), will cost you $20.15. Get it! It’s ridiculously overpriced, but it’s clever because it’s also 2015! (Pepsi would like to remind you that in the Back to the Future universe, a 2015 bottle of Pepsi actually cost about $50, so this is technically a bargain.)

The Back to the Future Pepsi bottles will be sold online and in one last bit of corporate synergy, you’re going to have to follow the Pepsi Twitter page (@pepsi) to find out exactly where.

Pepsi isn’t the only product cashing in on Back to the Future mania. Nike announced they’d be releasing Marty’s self-lacing “Air Mag” sneakers this year, though there has been no official word on when that will be happening. Lexus recently built a working hoverboard though one that isn’t commercially available. AMC will be hosting marathons of the Back to the Future trilogy on October 21 and Amazon has made all the films available for free throughout October to all their Amazon Prime subscribers.
