A burglary gone bad turned into murder in the city of Agra, India. Neelam Sharma was stabbed to death by her husband Vijay’s nephew, Ashutosh, on February 20th. The Times of India reports, Ashutosh was attempting to burglarize the couple’s home, when he feared Neelam would recognize her. He stabbed her to death, and also killed the couple’s dog. Ashutosh thought he’d left no witnesses. He didn’t account for the couple’s parrot, Hercule. The parrot began screeching when Ashutosh visited the home. this aroused Vijay’s suspicion.
“During discussions too, whenever Ashutosh’s name was mentioned, the parrot would start screeching. This raised my suspicion and I informed the police.”   -Vijay Sharma
