Nominate Your Favorite Teacher for LEF Awards
KTDY is pleased to announce that nomination forms for this year’s Lafayette Education Foundation Teacher Awards are now available! LEF is seeking nominations for their 14th annual Awards to be held on Thursday, January 26th, 2012. This event is the perfect time to say thank you to that special teacher who has made a difference in the life of a student or family.
On the evening of January 26, 2012, all nominated teachers will be honored in an “Academy Awards” style gala held at the Heymann Performing Arts Center, presented by Lafayette Education Foundation, The Daily Advertiser, Cox Communications, Acadian Ambulance, Capital One, Giles Automotive, GJTBS (Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr and Smith), 99.9 KTDY, KLFY-TV 10 and FACE Magazine. Nominees must be active academic educators in Lafayette Parish public, private, or parochial schools in grades K-12. Nomination forms will be available by visiting www.lefoundation.org or by contacting LEF at (337)234-3229. Completed nomination forms MUST be accompanied by a written explanation of why this teacher is being nominated. Finalists are selected based on the written explanation, not the number of nominations received.
Nomination deadline is October 28, 2011.
