Good news for Acadiana veterans. Construction on a clinic is reportedly about to begin. The Advertiser reports, site work has begun at 3131 Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Congressman Charles Boustany’s office says the 31,280 square foot facility could be operational by the end of 2016. A building permit is expected to be issued by next week.There are an estimated 35,000 veterans in Acadiana. Many of them currently have to travel to Houston, Shreveport, or Alexandria for services.
