Lawrence Blackburn, wanted in Lafayette for a murder this week, was found dead in a Baton Rouge apartment after a standoff with police according to WBRZ.

Blackburn was being sought by police for allegedly shooting to death Northside High School student and basketball player Dravin Stevenson.

Stevenson was found dead in his Sunnyside Lane home on Monday.

Two men went to the home and began shooting according to Lafayette Police.

In overnight activity, Baton Rouge police are confirming a woman was shot, but they are not releasing what surrounded that shooting during their search for Blackburn.

Lafayette Police have already arrested 25-year-old Quentin J. Cooper on a charge of principal to first degree murder in Stevenson's death.
