A Lafayette man has been sentenced to prison for firing a gun at a passing postal worker. AP reports, 41 year old David Sonnier has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for discharging a firearm during commission of a violent crime. The postal employee was uninjured. Sonnier must pay $1,178 in restitution. He's also been ordered to serve 2 years of supervised release upon completion of his prison sentence.
