Lafayette City Police Are Investigating Two Early Morning Shootings

Lafayette City Police are investigating two early morning incidents of gunfire.  At approximately 2:40am today witnesses say two people got into an argument in the Race Track convenience store at 1500 North University with gunshots being fired.  The shooter fled and there are no reports of any injuries.

In a separate incident at approximately 3:15am shots were fired at a car in the parking lot of the Days Inn at 1600 North University.  Both the car and a building were hit by bullets.  No injuries were reported.

Anyone having information about either should incident is ask to call Lafayette City Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
