24-year-old Joseph Dakota Richey, the man accused in the fiery fatal crash that killed UL student Brad Wedlock in April, is now sitting in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a $1 million bond.

According to theadvertiser, Richey's attorney asked to the judge to allow his client to live with his mother in Scott, with a GPS monitor and a curfew. But, after hearing arguments from both the defense and the district attorney's office, 15th Judicial District Court Judge Edward Rubin decided on the $1 million bond.

Richey faces charges of Vehicular Homicide, OWI 2nd Offense, Speeding, Careless Operation, Driving under Suspension, Possession of Marijuana and Reckless Operation.
