On Monday, January 18, 2016, Glenn Frey died. He was a founding member of the legendary band, Eagles. When he was a newcomer to the L.A. music scene, he lived upstairs from another singer/songwriter named Jackson Browne. As the story goes, Glenn heard Jackson working on a song called 'Take It Easy' which Jackson couldn't finish; the right lyrics just wouldn't come. Glenn had a line he thought might work, having heard the song countless times through the floor of his upstairs apartment, "There's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford, slowing down to take a look at me." The rest is history. RIP, Glenn.
