First off, my heart is heavy for the people of Baltimore.  The sad thing is, this could happen in any metropolitan city in America.  Hopefully, what officials will learn from this event, will help police forces around America deal with these situations better in the future.

I can't even imagine what Dr. Martin Luther King would be saying about this.  I'm certainly no expert on the matter of civil unrest, but destroying the community in which you have to live just can't be right.

I'm wondering why the country hasn't heard from the Mayor of Baltimore.  Where is the Governor?  Where is our President, and at the hour this is being drafted, why no curfew?

These low-class actions of a select few tarnishes the entire complexion of Baltimore and of this country.  Having a family myself, I can only believe that this action is a lack of family teachings.

I heard an official say tonight that most of the crimes in Baltimore tonight have been committed by about a hundred people.  Isn't it amazing how a hundred people can cause so much destruction in a city and discomfort for a nation?  So sad.

I wrote something on Facebook tonight I'd like to share with you.  Please leave me your thoughts if you can.  Facebook may not allow everyone to comment but please try.

"If a police officer tells me to stop and raise my hands...I will STOP AND RAISE MY HANDS. In these videos of people getting beat up or tasered...almost 100% of the time I see the so called victim running away, talkin' back or resisting. Seems like if you weren't guilty, you wouldn't mind cooperating. Plus...I was brought up to respect police officers. If a police officer tells me to stop, he or she will NOT have to tell me twice. Am I missing something?"
