‘Hotel California’ on ‘The Voice’ – WHAT?!

I couldn't believe it when I saw Christina Aguilera's team performing 'Hotel California' on 'The Voice.' The Eagles are notoriously protective of the song rights and all things legal when it comes to themselves and the band. I did a little digging and found one other example of an Eagles song being used commercially. The David Letterman Show wouldn't even touch it in 2014 as the band was reported to 'have a flat no policy for television.' Guess the times they are a'changing!
