My sister, Jean recently shared the above photo on Facebook. As you may have guessed, it's a picture of my siblings and myself when we were MUCH younger. Left to right, Doug, Jim, Me , Kathi, with Jean in front. We lost Kathi to cancer on June 1st, 1988. April 10th is National Siblings Day. Your Siblings may be the most important people you'll ever know. Sibling relationships, good or bad, are permanent, unlike more than half the marriages in the US. Kids with siblings have better prepared  to enter kindergarten than those without. Research indicates the sex of your siblings influences your social development. Boys who grow up with sisters are usually more attentive than those without. About 80% of Americans have at least one sibling.
