Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, Lafayette’s premier Cajun and Creole heritage festival, was voted a Top Ten Cultural Festival by readers of USA Today and 10Best.

Lafayette celebrates its unique heritage and culture during the three-day Festivals Acadiens et Créoles each October, which is actually a combination of festivals. Festival de Musique Acadienne showcases top Cajun and Zydeco bands, the Bayou Food Festival immerses attendees in the flavors of Cajun and Creole cooking, while the Louisiana Craft Fair hosts traditional and fine artists from around the state.

“Rankings like these are important to our overall message that Lafayette Parish is a great place to visit where you can enjoy authentic Cajun and Creole food, music and culture. Festivals Acadiens being named a Top Ten Cultural Festival is another positive step in keeping Lafayette top-of-mind when deciding where to go on vacation,” said Ben Berthelot, Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission President and CEO.

Get a taste of Festivals Acadiens at Festival International de Louisiane this weekend. Festivals Acadiens et Créoles presents the closing acts on Saturday and Sunday at Scène Chevron Heritage; Bonsoir Catin on Saturday at 9 PM, and Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band on Sunday at 5 PM.
