Festival International Is History

The 27th Annual Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette wrapped up last night with the Wailers after a stellar display of films, exhibits, cuisine and music. We don't know what the actual head count is, because admission is free, but Festival organizers think the crowds were bigger than ever before, estimating attendance at over 400,000. This year's acts included The Mercy Brothers, MacKenzie Bourg, Marc Broussard, Chic Gamine, Trombone Shorty, Bodh'aktan and the Nimbaya Women Drummers and from all reports, Festival International 2013 was a huge success.
