Good grief!! Do you like chicken & sausage gumbo, tasso, bacon, hot dogs? A recent report from an arm of the World Health Organization says some of our favorite foods are killing us. According to verywell.com, the International Agency for Research on Cancer says many of our favorite foods dramatically increase our risk of colon, pancreatic & prostate cancer. The report indicates, processed meats pose the greatest danger. It defines "processed" as meat that's been salted, smoked, fermented, or cured. It states eating 50 grams (less than 2 ounces) of processed meat daily increases cancer risk by 18%. The report specifically listed 5 foods to avoid, sausage, ham, hot dogs, beef jerkey & corned beef. I guess you could cook soy patties at your next barbecue.
