A group of ten doctors have petitioned the administration of Columbia University to remove Dr. Mehmet Oz from its faculty. The Associated Press reports, the group, headed by Dr. Henry Miller of Stanford University, has sent a letter, accusing Dr. Oz of Quackery.

The letter alleges the renowned cardiac surgeon "has manifested an egregious lack of integrity by promoting quack treatments and cures in the interest of personal financial gain, " adding he has "misled and endangered" the public.

Oz currently serves as vice chairman of The university's surgery department. He came to prominence through frequent appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show.  Dr. Oz now has a TV show of his own. He was called before a senate committee to answer similar allegations in 2014.
