Chinese Restaurants Busted For Serving Opium
We've all tasted food that made us roll our eyes, and say, jokingly, "This is addictive!" Some restaurants in China apparently take that literally, according to a CNN report. 35 restaurants have been busted for illegally seasoning their food with powdered opium poppy. Opium is a highly addictive drug. The lid was blown off the case when police stopped a young motorist and drug tested him after leaving a restaurant where he'd eaten a bowl of noodles. I guess that's one way to keep customers coming back.
