June 22, 2011 Delcambre, Louisiana, located about 20 miles southwest of Lafayette, (150 miles west of New Orleans and 240 east of Houston,) is home to one of Louisiana's most productive shrimp fleets. The town devotes an entire weekend to honor this economic lifeblood.
This year, we celebrate the delicious little crustacean at The Delcambre Shrimp Festival on August 17-21st!

All customers will receive garbage and recycling service on the day following their regularly scheduled collection day during the week of Memorial Day
May 10, 2011 As most of you know, the biggest party of the year is this Friday night at Nitetown downtown. Yes, it is the annual Poly Ester Power Hour Party (PPHP). It is one of two time per year I have a blast (the other is on the CJ and Debbie Ray Sailaway of course). This year's PPHP is on Friday the 13th. Yep, we planned it that way.
