We spotted it Saturday night coming home from downtown Lafayette while at the red light at Johnston St. &  University Avenue. The "Super Moon" was definitely noticeable.  NASA says we haven't seen one like it since 1993 and we won't see another one for a long time.  Makes me wish I had paid more attention in Astronomy class!  The science tells us that it's because the moon was full and the earth was close to it.  I only got one pitiful little camera-phone shot of it, so I had to find some cool videos to share with you.  Check out three more from Brazil, Canada and Alaska...
